Policies for Our Hudson Valley Inn

Located in amidst the rolling hills of Dutchess County, NY, Hilltop House Bed & Breakfast is a lovely destination for vacation getaways and romantic weekends.  Before planning your stay with us, please refer to the policies below. If you need additional information, feel free to contact us.

Cancellation Policy:

Reservations require a 50% deposit at booking. The balance will be charged two weeks prior to your scheduled arrival date. We accept Visa, MC, Discover, American Express, and Cash.

Cancellations must be made 15 days prior to check-in for a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee per room.

A 30-day cancellation notice is required for high-demand weekends, holidays, graduations and locally-held yearly events. Please call if you need clarification.

In the event that an early departure becomes necessary, there will be no refunds issued.

Additional Info:

CHILDREN:  Children 8 years and older are welcome. For younger, well-behaved children, depending on the circumstances, exceptions may be made. Please call.

SMOKING:  New York State Law prohibits indoor smoking. Hilltop House Bed & Breakfast is a non-smoking establishment; however, smoking outside is permitted. 

PETS:  We apologize for not being able to accommodate pets. We will be happy to find boarding arrangements in the area for your family pet or recommend pet-friendly accommodations in the area.

Check in begins at 3:00 pm. Check out no later than 11:00 am. Early check-in and/or late check-out may be available for an additional fee.

Personally identifiable information is only obtained when making a reservation. All identifiable information provided will not be disclosed to anyone unless we are specifically requested to do so. Hilltop House Bed & Breakfast does not give or sell to anyone any information we collect on our site.

We sometimes use data collection devices such as “cookies” on certain pages of the site to measure effectiveness and safety. A “cookie” is a small file that gets placed on your hard drive that helps us provide our services. You are free to decline cookies if you choose too.

Security:

At Hilltop House Bed & Breakfast, we take security seriously. When users make a reservation, we use every precaution to safeguard it online and offline.

Your payment and personal information are always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the Internet.
